Rainbow is excited to announce the September 2026 launch of our new and user-friendly text messaging service designed to keep our residents informed! This service will allow you to easily receive important notifications and obtain specific information by simply texting the district.

Water customers are encouraged to:

Sign up for your specific neighborhood by texting:
RAINBOW, BLUE RIVER OR, MARCOLA, DEERHORN, SHANGRI LA, or SHENANDOAH to 91896. You will be asked to confirm you want to join the notification group. Enter YES to authorize receiving alerts from Rainbow.

(We will be careful to not overuse this feature and pester you with messages. If you live in one of our neighborhoods and care for relatives in another, you may sign up for more than one group.)

You have the option to text STOP at any time to be removed from all lists, but please keep in mind that opting out will remove you from all future messages, including emergency alerts and updates sent by Rainbow.

You may also text keywords to Rainbow's TextMyGov number, 541-896-5411, to receive information and automated responses. There are also options for you to submit information to us. Text one of these common responses: LEAK, OFFICE, OTHER, or WATER, or text LIST to see the other keywords available to you. This feature is available 24/7. We will typically respond during the next business day. If there is an urgent issue, we still advise that you call our office after hours at 541-746-1676 and let it ring until our answering service picks up and determines if our on call operator needs to be dispatched.
