Our water utility is successful because of our people. We rely on a variety of skills provided by our talented employees to meet different needs. Our Superintendent doubles as our engineer. Our administrative staff provide customer service and perform utility billing and full service accounting functions. Our water operators bring technical expertise and perform both treatment and distribution duties as varied as meter reading, water testing, reservoir maintenance, pump and heavy equipment operation and utility construction.

Since Rainbow works with a number of smaller water systems, we may occasionally advertise for a part-time position open with one of our partners. Water operators require state certification based on the size and complexity of the water system, and any required certifications will be listed in the job description.  More information about the state certification levels can be found here.

Rainbow Water District - No openings at this time.

Marcola Water District - Operating this system requires about 30 hours per week and two part-time operators split days to provide coverage. We have no openings at this time, but we are willing to take names of people that might be interested in a future opening.

Deerhorn Community Water Association - Operating this system requires about 10 hours per week and two part-time operators split days to provide coverage. We have no openings at this time, but we are willing to take names of people that live nearby and might be interested in a future opening.

Shangri-La Water District - Operating this system requires less than 10 hours per week and one part-time operator provides routine coverage with a part-time backup. We have no openings at this time, but we are willing to take names of people that live nearby and might be interested in a future opening.
